Key Responsibilities
Leadership, Culture & Ownership

- Assists with strategic pursuits, including interview preparation and win strategies.
- Evaluates and approves go/no-go decisions for project opportunities.
- Maintains high-level client relationships and performs regular project debriefs and client check-ins.
- Manages multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success from conception through execution, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Coaches and develops staff, providing timely feedback and addressing issues directly to support long-term success and foster professional growth.
- Engages with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to advocate for and promote our transportation initiatives.
- Represents Guernsey in professional organizations.
- Builds and maintains relationships at the political level necessary to support key pursuits.
- Develops a business plan and financial metrics for the region.
- Oversees contract terms, scopes, and fees to mitigate risk.
- Ensures teams are performing at a high level and have accountability to the goals established in the business plan.
- Fosters a culture of safety, compliance, and quality control across all transportation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and PE license required.
- 8+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
- At least 4 years of experience supervising or mentoring technical staff.
- Strong understanding of business operations, client relations, and team development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and client service skills.
- Deep knowledge of regulations, standards, and quality management practices.
- Valid driver’s license, willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel, as needed.
