Senior Electrical Engineer
The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in the planning, design, and execution of complex electrical systems across a variety of projects. You will be responsible for developing technical solutions, ensuring code compliance, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, project management skills, and the ability to guide clients and teams from concept through construction.
What You’ll Do
- Lead electrical system design for a wide variety of building and infrastructure projects.
- Guide junior engineers and designers with direct mentoring and technical leadership.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and clients from concept to construction.
- Provide QA/QC oversight, peer review, and technical problem-solving across disciplines.
- Support proposals, client meetings, and business development initiatives when desired.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 15+ years of electrical engineering experience (licensed PE preferred).
- Expertise in lighting, power distribution, and building systems for commercial, institutional, or industrial projects.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset with a passion for mentoring.
- Effective communication skills and comfort engaging with clients and internal teams.
- A desire for flexibility—whether that means working part-time or gradually ramping up to full-time.
- A mindset of continuous learning and adaptability
Physical Requirements:
- Sit/stand at a desk or computer
- Walk, stoop, stand and move around job sites
- Travel and occasional site visits requiring stooping, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent communication via phone, video, or in-person meetings
- Ability to focus on digital and paper-based information for extended periods
- Some project-based travel may be required
