INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital

The INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital brings the quality services of INTEGRIS to Yukon through their 40‑bed satellite facility. Guernsey continues to support the efforts of healthcare providers in their goal to offer services in all communities in Oklahoma-from rural locations to major cities.

Increasing medical services in rural areas is a priority for healthcare providers in Oklahoma. Integris Baptist hospital recognized the need for healthcare services in the Canadian Valley community. This led to the construction of a new 40-bed hospital and medical office building.

The hospital includes a radiology department, labor and delivery rooms, a nursery, short-stay rooms, operating rooms, treatment rooms, radiation therapy, receiving, snack bar, administrative offices, locker rooms, a chiller and boiler plant, a generator, fire pump room, pre-op, PACU recovery, laboratory, pharmacy, central sterile and trauma rooms.

Guernsey provided all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for the project. The systems designed include medical gas piping systems, diesel fuel piping and storage, and chilled water and heating water piping systems.

Guernsey also provided all communication systems design including nurse call systems, hospital paging, intercoms, and patient monitoring systems. Other essential electrical systems were designed for the highest level of safety and reliability in case of emergency including an addressable fire alarm system, and an emergency electrical system that operates using three branches: critical, life safety, and equipment. These three systems work together in an emergency to insure safe egress, patient care, and continued mechanical systems operation. Security systems include an infant abduction system and a hospital security system.
