Position Overview
The PT Digital Media Specialist will manage and execute the firm’s social media strategy, content creation, engagement, analytics, and reporting. This role will work closely with the marketing team to amplify our brand, highlight key projects, and drive engagement across digital channels.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic content creator with experience in social media management, video editing, and digital marketing. This role is perfect for a motivated student or early-career professional looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management and Strategy:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with company goals.
- Manage daily social media activities, including creating, scheduling, and publishing content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook using platforms like Sprout Social, and Hootsuite.
- Ensure brand consistency and storytelling excellence in posts, videos, and graphics.
Content Creation & Engagement:
- Create compelling and visually engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to showcase projects.
- Film and edit short-form videos for promotional campaigns and internal branding.
- Capture and curate high-quality photos and videos of company events, projects, and employee highlights.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Engagement & Analytics:
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and build Guernsey’s online community.
- Track social media analytics and generate insights to refine and optimize content strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to amplify project successes.
- Generate monthly reports on engagement, reach, and overall performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on data.
Marketing Support:
- Assist with developing marketing materials and digital campaigns.
- Support content planning for special events, tradeshows, and corporate initiatives.
- Support other marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education & Experience:
- Current student or recent graduate with a degree (or pursuing a degree) in Strategic Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Direct experience in multiple internships related to social media, marketing, or digital media preferred.
Technical & Creative Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent visual storytelling skills for crafting compelling posts and engaging with audiences.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
- Strong video editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Final Cut.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools like Photoshop and Canva.
- Knowledge of AP Style and best practices in digital communication.
- Experience with social media analytics and performance tracking.
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, or consulting industry is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
- Strong critical thinking skills to resolve content, engagement, or analytics issues.
