INTEGRIS Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute – Renovation & Relocation

The INTEGRIS Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute is a recognized leader in Oklahoma’s organ transplant field. This project translated that reputation for strength and innovation into a clear, functional physical environment.

The master planning study relocated the institute from the main hospital campus into an on-campus medical office building. The team evaluated an existing eight-story facility and developed a phased renovation plan to accommodate heart, lung, liver, and kidney transplant clinics, beginning with heart and lung. This initial phase delivered a new entrance, registration bays, consultation rooms, and expanded waiting areas.

The building program includes:

  • A first-floor entrance; reception, registration and waiting areas; and a billing/finance office
  • A second-floor heart and lung clinic
  • Third-floor physician offices
  • Fourth-floor staff offices

The project outcomes:

  • Improved patient experience and flow
  • Increased staff efficiency
  • New covered drop-off and entry sequence
  • Expanded access to natural light in waiting areas, exam rooms, and offices
  • Upgraded quality through sound isolation, standardized room sizes, updated conference spaces, and LED lighting
