His arrival marks an important milestone for Guernsey as the 100% employee-owned firm approaches its centennial anniversary in 2028, continues expanding its capabilities, and prepares to relocate to its new Oklahoma City headquarters.
“We are excited to welcome Jeff to Guernsey at such an important time in our company’s history,” said Janienne Bella, Guernsey Board Chair. “As we approach our 100th anniversary, we are building on a strong foundation while embracing new opportunities for growth and innovation. Jeff brings the experience and strategic perspective to help us capitalize on the opportunities ahead. His leadership comes at a time when Guernsey is expanding its capabilities, strengthening client relationships, and positioning itself for continued success in an evolving marketplace.”
Sare was introduced to Guernsey’s employee-owners during a companywide gathering on October 13th, providing an opportunity to meet the team and share his enthusiasm for joining the firm.
A Career Built on Leadership and Growth
Throughout his career, Sare has held executive leadership positions with global organizations operating in highly competitive, technology-driven industries.
Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer of ThinKom Solutions, overseeing commercial strategy, business development, and customer relationships across the company’s commercial and defense businesses.
Previously, Sare was President of Intelsat’s Commercial Aviation division, where he led a global business generating approximately $400 million in annual revenue and employing nearly 600 professionals. His experience also includes senior leadership positions at Panasonic Avionics and other leading technology organizations.
Across these roles, Sare has guided organizational transformations, strengthened financial and operational performance, and built teams positioned for long-term success.
A former U.S. Naval officer and Edmond resident, Sare brings a global business perspective along with a personal connection to Oklahoma and its business community.
Building on Guernsey’s Strong Foundation
Sare’s leadership philosophy centers on establishing a clear vision, empowering people, fostering accountability, and creating an environment where talented professionals can do their best work.
At Guernsey, his priorities will include strengthening client relationships, developing the next generation of leaders, advancing operational excellence, and creating sustainable value for the company’s employee-owners.
“What initially attracted me to Guernsey was the strength of its values and the remarkable legacy the company has built over nearly 100 years,” said Jeff Sare, Guernsey’s incoming President and CEO. “A 98-year history speaks to more than longevity. It reflects a commitment to clients, employees, and doing business the right way. I’m impressed by the people, the culture, and the foundation that has been established, and I’m excited to build on that legacy while helping position Guernsey for its next chapter of growth and success.”
His approach aligns with Guernsey’s longstanding values of integrity, collaboration, caring, and commitment—principles that have guided the firm since its founding in 1928.
Honoring a Legacy While Looking Ahead
Sare succeeds Jared Stigge, who has served as Guernsey’s President and CEO since January 2019.
During his tenure, Stigge helped guide Guernsey through significant growth and organizational change, including the expansion of its services and the vision for the company’s new Oklahoma City headquarters.
While transitioning from the President and CEO position, Stigge will remain involved with Guernsey through a new role within the LLC, supporting select projects and the company’s Energy & Utility Services business.
His continued involvement reflects the importance of leadership continuity and the relationships that have helped shape Guernsey’s success.
Looking Toward Guernsey’s Next 100 Years
As Guernsey approaches its 100th anniversary, the company is building on nearly a century of serving clients and communities through architecture, engineering, and consulting services.
With its new headquarters on the horizon, expanding capabilities, and a strong foundation of employee ownership, Guernsey is positioned for continued opportunity.
Sare’s appointment represents another important step in that journey—bringing experienced leadership and a commitment to the people, relationships, and values that will shape Guernsey’s future.
