A Legacy of Leadership: Jared Stigge Begins a New Chapter at Guernsey

After nearly eight years as President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and more than 27 years with Guernsey, Jared Stigge is transitioning from his executive role, marking a new chapter in a career defined by service, growth, and commitment to the company and its people.

Since assuming the role of President/CEO on January 4, 2019, Jared has guided Guernsey through significant challenges and opportunities, helping expand the company’s capabilities, strengthen its position in key markets, and prepare for its next century.

Jared will remain actively involved with Guernsey in a new role within the LLC, contributing to select projects and supporting the company’s Energy & Utility Solutions (E&US) team.

Leading Through Change and Growth

Jared’s tenure as President/CEO has been marked by both extraordinary challenges and remarkable achievements.

Perhaps no challenge tested organizational leadership quite like the COVID-19 pandemic. Just over a year into his role as CEO, Jared found himself navigating an unprecedented disruption to business operations, employee well-being, and the way Guernsey served its clients.

Through it all, Guernsey continued moving forward.

Under his leadership, the company experienced substantial growth, expanding its workforce by 29% and increasing companywide revenue by 40% since January 2019. Guernsey’s design team also grew by nearly 31%, strengthening the firm’s ability to serve clients across an increasingly diverse range of markets.

That growth extended beyond numbers. It included new capabilities, emerging markets, and opportunities to contribute to projects with national and international significance.

Among those milestones was the significant growth of Guernsey’s Cybersecurity team, driven by the team’s expertise and dedication. Their efforts have expanded the company’s ability to help clients navigate increasingly complex security and compliance requirements.

During Jared’s tenure, Guernsey has also expanded its role in specialized federal research infrastructure, contributing to projects with national and international implications. Among them is the FAA’s Vertical Take-Off and Landing Procedures and Analysis Range (V-PAR) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. Designed by Guernsey and breaking ground in June 2026, the $8 million facility will support research into the next generation of electric and hybrid aircraft. Together with Guernsey’s work on the FAA CAMI Wind and Wave Evacuation and Survival (WiWaves) research facility, these projects demonstrate the company’s growing expertise in highly specialized federal facilities.

Jared’s contributions to Guernsey extend well beyond his years as President and CEO. Since joining the company in 1999, his work has taken him from Hawaii and Alaska to Pakistan and Zambia, where he has represented Guernsey on complex projects and developed relationships with clients and partners worldwide. Those experiences helped shape his perspective on the company’s capabilities and, more importantly, the people whose expertise makes the work possible.

Among Jared’s notable career accomplishments was his work supporting the U.S. Army in awarding the largest utility privatization contract in its history. The landmark initiative encompassed 12 utility systems across Alaska, with a combined contract value exceeding $5 billion. His involvement in this complex undertaking reflects the depth of his expertise in public-private transactions and his ability to help clients navigate large-scale, mission-critical initiatives.

“What stands out most about Jared isn’t just what he’s accomplished, but who he is. He leads with humility and deep care for Guernsey’s employee owners, and every decision he makes starts with what is ethical, right, and fair. Jared is an incredible human being, and Guernsey has been lucky to have him at the helm,” commented Guernsey Board Chairperson and Senior Vice President, Janienne Bella.

Building for the Next Century

One of Jared’s visions for Guernsey’s future was to establish a new headquarters that would reflect not only what the company is today, but what it aspires to become-while also providing a high-quality work environment for Guernsey’s employee-owners.

In December 2025, Guernsey announced plans for Oklahoma’s first mass timber office building in Oklahoma City’s alley North Development at 13th and Broadway. The project embodies Jared’s commitment to looking ahead, embracing innovative and sustainable design, and creating an environment that encourages collaboration and connection among employees.

More than a new workplace, the headquarters represents a long-term investment in Guernsey’s people, culture, and continued growth. As the company approaches its 100th anniversary in 2028, Jared envisioned a space that would honor Guernsey’s history while inspiring the next generation of employees to shape its future.

A New Chapter, On His Own Terms

After more than 27 years with Guernsey, Jared is looking forward to a different pace and the freedom to focus on the things that matter most to him.

Having spent much of his career balancing the demands of projects, clients, employees, and company leadership, the next chapter offers greater flexibility while allowing him to remain connected to the work and people he enjoys.

For Jared and his wife, that means more time together and the opportunity to enjoy life beyond the responsibilities of executive leadership.

“I’ve had an incredible adventure with Guernsey – I’ve lived in the Hawaiian tropics and just south of the Arctic Circle, thrived upon the continuous learning that comes from our work, and helped evolve our company into the visionary, 100% employee-owned team we are today. My decision to step back was not made lightly, but I do so with complete confidence in our people and our leadership to take us to new heights. As for me, I’m looking forward to continuing to contribute where I can while making more time for my wife/BFF, family, friends, and community involvement,” said Jared Stigge.

As Guernsey approaches its second century, Jared’s influence will be felt well beyond the years he served as President and CEO. His leadership has helped create opportunities for the next generation of employee-owners, strengthen relationships that will carry forward, and position Guernsey for the opportunities ahead.

His role may be changing, but his commitment to Guernsey and its future remains.
