INTEGRIS Heart Hospital – Entrance and Lobby Renovation

The hospital was operating continuously but lacked a visible identity and a clear patient arrival sequence. Patients entered through an existing on-campus medical building, limiting visibility, complicating wayfinding, and creating inefficiencies in the path from entry to care. The project addressed both problems at once: establish a recognizable front door and streamline patient flow from arrival to registration.

INTEGRIS Health initiated a comprehensive renovation to reposition the heart hospital within the larger campus and improve the patient experience without interrupting ongoing operations. The design focused on the ground floor as the primary point of intervention, consolidating key functions and clarifying circulation.

A new exterior entry façade and covered drop-off canopy create a defined point of arrival and strengthen the hospital’s presence on campus. This intervention improves visibility and signals access clearly to patients and visitors approaching the facility.

Inside, the ground floor was reconfigured to support a more direct and efficient intake process. Registration bays were relocated to this level, eliminating unnecessary movement through the building and aligning arrival, check-in, and waiting functions. New waiting areas, integrated retail space, and upgraded finishes organize the lobby into a coherent sequence that supports both patient comfort and operational clarity.

The renovation also introduced LED lighting and increased access to natural daylight, improving the overall environment and reinforcing orientation within the space.

Scope of Work

  • Renovation of the ground floor, including upgraded finishes, LED lighting, and increased natural daylight
  • Relocation of patient registration bays to the ground floor
  • Addition of a covered drop-off area and new primary entrance
  • Construction of waiting areas, registration bays, and retail space
  • Design and construction of a new entrance façade and canopy

The project establishes a clear front door for the heart hospital and reorganizes the patient journey from entry to care. The new layout improves patient flow, supports staff efficiency, enhances the patient experience, and strengthens the hospital’s exterior visibility and brand identity within the campus.
