After a presentation from C.H. Guernsey & Company for engineering, design, bidding and construction services regarding the city's Master Plan, the Shawnee Municipal Authority voted unanimously in favor of entering into an agreement with Guernsey for those services.

The total cost of the water treatment plant upgrades is a projected $33 million.
